MG 19" modules may be joined horizontally & stacked vertically to provide a variety of high density equipment installation layouts, particularly suitable for monitor stacks or mobile units where space is often at a premium.
Vertically stacked modules may be fixed directly to each other to form a vertical mounting face or they may be fitted with tilt adaptor kits to suit operator eyelines.
The design of the MG frame system makes it extremely easy to construct even large layouts very quickly & easily.
Finished stacks are very strong & rigid & will take a considerable weight of equipment.
The open frame structure allows for good airflow for cooling & provision is made in the rear panels for fans to be fitted at the top & bottom of each module.

MG Single bay frames

MG 19” Rack frames are supplied ‘Flat-Pack’ and are available in 6 different Ru heights –

7u,10u,12u,15u,22u & 36u. Frames are only 1u (44.45mm) higher than the equipment mounting area and provide a very space efficient solution for rack mounting equipment where space is at a premium.

MG Multi-bay Frames

MG 19” Rack frames are also available as multi-bay modules in 2 or 3 bay widths. Vertical frames within modules can also be repositioned to allow for the mounting of wider equipment such as plasma screens etc. or to provide ‘offset’ 19” mounting positions in vertically stacked MG layouts

MG Vented tops

MG 19” Rack modules may be ordered with either standard or Vented Top panels. If modules are to be stacked the top module is normally supplied with a Vent Top, but either type may be used in any application at no extra cost

MG side panels & trims

Standard panels and Trims are MDF finished in Anthracite ‘Nextel’ to match the frames. Steel panels are also available to special order.

MG doors & facias

Optional hinged, part height, front doors and/or fixed Fascia panels may be fitted to the front of MG trimmed Modules. Shelves may be fitted in the space behind doors but such areas are not generally suitable for fitting 19” Rack mounted equipment owing to insufficient clearance behind the panels.

Doors are finished to match side panels as standard but are available in toughened smoked glass to special order.

MG rear panels

Optional , Vented, ‘Lift-off’ Rear Panels are available if required. When in position these leave  an area clear, top and bottom, , to allow for the fitting of fan units or for cable entry access via the rear.

These areas may be blanked off if not needed

MG Tilt adapter

Alternatively an angle adaptor kit, FTA15, may be fitted in between Modules to tilt them at 15 degrees with respect to each other.

The tilt angle can be set forward or backwards by reversing the adaptor profiles

MG Bay angles

As well as being tiltable in a vertical plane MG modules may also be joined at angles horizontally.

Because of the very large variety of configurations that can be made up from MG modules angled joining kits are special order items and are made up to suite the installation application.

MG Base plinths

There is full cable access to the Plinth area from the rear or underneath and cabling may also be taken from side to side for wiring between module sections.

Plinth modules are 355mm high as standard and are available in 1, 2 or 3 bay sections.

MG Base plinths

An alternative style of Plinth is available with an extended front section.

This is not as high as the standard base plinth but still has sufficient space for cable management.

The main application for extended front Plinths is to prevent tipping when equipment on slide mounts is fitted in the Rack Modules or where a desk front is to be fitted
